When customers choose the Application Hosting service using a AIX platform, operating system software procurement, installation, provisioning, and maintenance by the DTS are included as a basic component of the standard service. This includes operating system software licensing, operating system upgrades, operating system patches, and vendor contract administration.

When customers choose the Application Hosting service using a AIX platform, procurement, installation, provisioning, and maintenance of software tools by the DTS are included in the standard service. The AIX platform software tools that are included in the standard Application Hosting service are:
* BMC Patrol Agent

The software tools used by the DTS for AIX platform monitoring and management include Solaris JumpStart, CA Unicenter, Big Brother, HP Insight Manager, Microsoft Operations Management, OpenManage, and NetIQ AppManager.
