Part 5: Solaris Printing and Microfiche

The DTS offers 2 printing options and 2 microfiche options.

• Printing on a printed page, on impact printers or laser printers
• Printing on a printed form
• Microfiche - Original
• Microfiche - Duplicate

Solaris Platform

The DTS offers a variety of output methods as add-on components when a customer uses the standard Application Hosting service on a Solaris platform:

Solaris Platform - FTP Output

When the FTP output add-on component of the Application Hosting service is selected, the DTS transfers output files to the customer for printing.

Solaris Platform - COM (computer output microfiche)

When the COM (computer output microfiche) add-on option is selected, customer output is transferred to microfiche. The COM add-on option allows customers to transfer up to 269 pages of printed output to a single 4" by 6" 105mm microfiche, which remains readable for many years. The finished product is delivered to customers following the DTS chain of custody procedures.
