Part 1: Z/OS Platform

To implement Application Hosting on a z/OS platform, the DTS works with customers to select an appropriate configuration based on the customer’s business needs. The following basic components are available for z/OS platforms as part of the standard Application Hosting service. Additional processing capabilities are available through the add-on components that are available for this platform.

Hardware

When customers choose the Application Hosting service using a z/OS platform, the DTS provides IBM z/9001 mainframe hardware procurement, installation, provisioning, and maintenance as a basic component of the standard Application Hosting service.

Remote Print and Tape Equipment

When a z/OS platform is selected, equipment to extend mainframe print and tape processing capabilities to customer locations is available as an add-on to the Application Hosting service.
