Z/OS Platform

Several database systems are available as add-on components to customers that use the Application Hosting service on a z/OS platform. Procurement, installation, provisioning, and maintenance by the DTS are included as part of this add-on to the standard service.

Z/OS Platform - Database Administration

The DTS offers database administration to customers that use one of the available z/OS platform databases as an add-on to the standard Application Hosting service.
* Shared Databases – The DTS administers shared z/OS platform databases.
* Dedicated Systems – For z/OS platform databases that are dedicated to a single customer, the database administration responsibility may be owned by the customer or it may be obtained from the DTS as an add-on to the standard service. The DTS works with customers to select one of these options, based on the customer’s business needs.
